I'm spending some time with my parents in North Carolina. Mom does a lot of needlework, mostly needlepoint nowadays, but she used to do crewel, counted cross stitch, knitting and crocheting. I didn't get this gene. When I was younger I tried. I really did. Not relaxing. Not theraputic. The thought of needlework causes hives. Hot glue is too much for me. I love her work, and she's happily making a pillow with a million flowers and colors for the windowseat in my dining room. Maybe one of my brothers will be like Rosie Greer and pick up needlepoint. Love you Mom!

Sharon, what part of NC are you visiting? I hope that you haven't gotten stuck here in the snow!
